In Our Own Voice (IOOV) is a
unique informational program
dedicated to the support,
education, and growth of
consumers as presenters.
IOOV offers insight into the
recovery process of individuals
living with mental illness. The
purpose of IOOV is to dispel
the myths and stigma
surrounding mental illness.
Each IOOV presentation involves two trained presenters who share personal accounts of their journey with mental illness. Each
presentation covers the following topics:

Dark days

Acceptance
•
Treatment
•
Coping skills
•
Successes, hopes and dreams.
IOOV is so important because it gives individuals living with mental illness the opportunity to grow while reducing stigma in their
communities.
