Parity Toolkit for Winning Disputes with Your Healthplan A parity toolkit has been developed for individuals and families seeking help for mental illnesses or addictions from their health plans. Despite the new parity law, some plans are using "cost containment" strategies to deny these services. A detailed booklet has been developed to fight this discrimination and to win appeals for the right to these services.  See parity toolkit (60 pages).
